Wholesale

We do not sell our products wholesale.

Returns

Purchases of SALE items are final and not eligible for return. Returns on all other eligible products may arranged within 30 days of purchase and are subject to prior approval by Knitting Notions. Contact us by E-mail at catherine@knittingnotionsonline.com . We will be glad to work it out with you. We want you to be happy with your purchase.

Please note that we are not responsible for damage or loss in shipping. We have Domestic USPS insurance available for purchase through our shopping cart. International Airmail Parcel Post and UPS Ground are covered at no additional charge as defined below in the Definitions of Shipping Methods.

For yarns:

As above, please contact us first and let us know you reason for requesting the exchange or return. We will arrange for exchanges or refunds on a case by case basis. In order for Knitting Notions to agree to a refund or exchange, yarn should be in unused, resaleable condition. Only full measure skeins are to be accepted.

Shipping /Payment Policies

Our policy is to ship orders at the first available delivery time after receipt of payment, usually within 24 hours.  When payment is made by Echeck in lieu of Instant Payment via Paypal, shipment will be delayed until the payment clears. This is usually four business days. We don't drop ship, we do our best to keep our inventory up to date on our website.

 

Shipping Methods

At this time, we use the following delivery services:

  • USPS Priority Mail
  • USPS First Class (on small light weight items like shawl pins or yarn orders less than 8 oz)
  • UPS Ground
  • UPS Worldwide Express
  • USPS Priority International 

Shipping and handling Charges

We don't use a shipping table, but instead charge the actual shipping based on the weight plus a small $2 handling charge to cover our materials. We are a small business and don't get bulk pricing, but we do only charge you what it costs us to send out your order.

Defintions of Shipping Methods

UPS Ground - Guaranteed day-definite delivery to every address in the U.S. 50 states and Puerto Rico

UPS automatically protects every shipment against loss or damage up to a value of US$100.00. With Declared Value, you can request additional protection up to US$50,000.00 per package.

First class mail
Packages include boxes, thick envelopes, or tubes. If your package is 13 ounces or less, First-Class Mail offers some of the best value for your postage dollar. If your package is heavier, you can use Priority Mail.

Priority Mail First-Class Mail weighing more than 13 ounces and, at the mailer's option, any other mail matter (including regular First-Class Mail) weighing 13 ounces or less. Matter mailed in USPS-provided Priority Mail packaging is subject to Priority Mail rates regardless of how the package is reconfigured or how the marking is obliterated. Delivery times are 2-3 days to all US destinations. Rates are based on weight and zone. 

Priority International  Mail

Priority International Mail is an accelerated airmail service that provides customers with a reliable and economical means of sending correspondence, documents, printed matter, and light-weight merchandise items to the foreign destinations that are listed in 231.4. GPM items receive priority handling within the U.S. Postal Service and the postal administration of the country of destination. Senders can pay flat-rate postage by placing their contents into a standardized GPM envelope; or they can elect to pay variable weight postage by affixing a GPM sticker to a tyvek envelope, box, or other customer-
furnished packaging. The maximum weight limit for GPM items is 4 pounds. Special services, such as registry, return receipt, recorded delivery, and insurance, are not available in combination with GPM service.

Payment Methods

Knitting Notions is a licensed business in Tennessee. We are required to collect sales tax on any orders placed by Tennessee residents.

We accept Visa and MasterCard through Authorize.net Secure Payment Gateway. We also accept Paypal.

You may be assured that your credit card orders are processed securely on our website. We do not store your credit card information on our server. We never see this ourselves since our Merchant Account's  payment gateway tranmits your encrypted information straight to them and is safely processed by the Merchant Bank.
